Early Childhood Teacher

About the role

The Early Childhood Teacher will join the Rafiki Foundation team to provide high‑quality, age‑appropriate education for young learners. This role focuses on fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, academic, and spiritual growth of each child.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons in line with the Rafiki Foundation curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and positive behaviour.
• Support the holistic development of learners—socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for parents and management.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well‑being.
• Uphold the highest standards of child protection and safeguarding at all times.
• Collaborate closely with other teachers, volunteers, and Rafiki Foundation staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
• Facilitate Bible study and character‑development sessions as part of the curriculum.
