Donor Liaison Coordinator

About the role

World Vision is looking for a Donor Liaison Coordinator in Lilongwe, Malawi, to lead the National Office in serving its US donors and partners across all US fundraising channels. The role works with US fundraising channels such as HNW, influencers, church and artists, and with the National Director, senior leadership, ADP coordinators, sector directors, finance and supply chain, to improve the donor and partner experience and raise awareness, advocacy and financial support.

Key responsibilities

• Support donors and partners in receiving optimal service from the National Office departments for fundraising campaigns and channels.
• Host donors virtually or in person on Vision Trips, coordinate agendas, prepare customised welcome packets, arrange logistics (accommodation, meals, transport, security) and manage finances for trips.
• Research and produce high-quality deliverables showing programme impact, such as beneficiary stories, photos and videos, and present them to donors.
• Collaborate with the US fundraising team, programme staff and donors to turn the story of need, intervention and impact into compelling experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Community Development or a related field; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in donor engagement activities.
• Experience hosting in person or virtually, or working with US donor groups, highly preferred; NGO experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once and availability for significant travel to projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers, email and office productivity software such as Microsoft Office.
• Basic experience with still photography, videography, video editing and story writing.
• Strong communication and public relations skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to explain complex development concepts simply to donors.
