Country Project Lead – Malawi

About the role

Living Goods is looking for an experienced Country Project Lead to drive the implementation of its flagship multi‑country health initiative in Malawi. Reporting to the Global Project Lead, you will be the primary in‑country representative, responsible for delivering the project workplan, milestones and outcomes in line with donor commitments and government priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of country workplans, implementation schedules and budgets aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate implementation activities across Living Goods teams, consortium partners and Ministry of Health stakeholders.
• Ensure effective deployment, adoption and integration of digital health solutions and performance‑management approaches.
• Steward project resources, monitor progress against targets and adjust plans to address emerging risks and opportunities.
• Represent Living Goods in‑country, strengthening government ownership and embedding project interventions within existing health systems.
• Drive the use of data and learning to improve service delivery and maximize impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading country‑level health or development projects, preferably in the African context.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ministries, donors and partner organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, budget and oversee complex multi‑partner initiatives.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities to translate data into actionable insights.
