Branch Manager – Retail Outlet

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead a new FUCHS retail outlet in Malawi. This hands‑on position will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly revenue targets and grow sales through proactive customer engagement.
• Oversee daily branch operations, including stock control, inventory management and loss prevention.
• Lead, train and supervise a small team (1 Sales Executive and 1 Lubricants Advisor/Sales Clerk) to meet performance goals.
• Provide accurate lubricant recommendations and technical advice to walk‑in customers, workshops and fleet clients.
• Implement local sales and marketing initiatives to increase foot traffic and conversions.
• Maintain precise reporting on sales, stock levels and branch performance.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, FMCG, automotive or a related sector.
• Proven track record of managing a retail branch or outlet.
• Strong background in high‑volume sales environments, preferably FMCG.
• Experience supervising and developing small teams.
• Business‑oriented mindset with a history of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
