Assistant ICT Officer

About the role

The Assistant ICT Officer provides technical support and maintains the organization’s ICT systems and infrastructure. The role ensures hardware and software operate efficiently, supports users, and contributes to business objectives through reliable IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily reconciliation of motor certificates on the DMVIC platform against debit notes in Pure and generate compliance reports.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, scanners, CCTV and biometric access control systems.
• Monitor server performance, internet connectivity, LAN/WAN and wireless networks, applying updates, security patches and backups.
• Serve as first‑line help‑desk, troubleshoot hardware, software, email and network issues, and provide user training.
• Manage user access rights, password resets, endpoint protection, antivirus and firewall controls, supporting data protection and compliance audits.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of ICT assets and coordinate procurement and servicing with approved vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in ICT support or systems administration.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments, networking and troubleshooting.
• Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL are an advantage.
