Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

About the role

Ifumbo Youth Organization (IYO) is seeking a full‑time Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to join its team in Chitipa. You will play a key role in designing, implementing and overseeing M&E frameworks that measure the impact of our community‑focused programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply monitoring and evaluation frameworks, tools and methodologies for all projects.
• Collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to produce actionable insights.
• Prepare accurate, timely reports for donors, partners and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and capacity‑building to project teams on M&E best practices.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and compliance with organisational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
• Experience working in a youth‑led NGO or community development programme is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience using data analysis software such as SPSS or similar tools.
• Competence in data collection, management and analysis for reporting.
