District Triple Elimination Technical Officer

About the role

The District Triple Elimination Technical Officer will support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of interventions that aim to eliminate HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B at district, facility and community levels in Malawi. Working from one of the four project districts (Karonga, Zomba, Thyolo or Balaka), the officer reports directly to the Triple Elimination Technical Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Support ACHIEVE project activities that accelerate triple elimination of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B.
• Collaborate with District Health Management Teams, health facilities and community structures to ensure effective implementation.
• Integrate triple elimination activities within existing MNCH, nutrition, PMTCT and related health services.
• Provide routine technical support and supportive supervision to health facilities and community health workers together with Ministry of Health teams.
• Lead capacity‑strengthening activities such as training, mentoring, coaching and on‑site technical assistance.
• Monitor availability and proper use of commodities, supplies, job aids and reporting tools, escalating gaps to the Technical Lead.
• Support commodity tracking, forecasting, stock monitoring and supply‑chain management for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, PrEP, HIV self‑test kits and laboratory supplies.

Required profile

• Assigned to one of the four implementation districts: Karonga, Zomba, Thyolo or Balaka.
• Reports directly to the Triple Elimination Technical Lead.
