Seminary & Institute Coordinator (SAI)

About the role

The Seminary and Institute (SAI) Coordinator leads the delivery of youth and young adult religious education within an assigned geographic area, following the example of Jesus Christ. This people‑manager role oversees program planning, budgeting, curriculum adaptation, and the development of teachers to help participants deepen their conversion and prepare for temple blessings.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with area/region directors, stake leaders, and teachers to set goals and increase youth participation in seminary and institute programs.
• Improve learning experiences and assess student satisfaction, including accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Build teaching capacity through monthly discussions, micro‑training, in‑service sessions, observations, feedback, and resource provision.
• Prepare the annual operating budget, monitor financial performance, and safeguard church assets.
• Adapt S&I curriculum and create pacing guides to meet local needs.
• Teach S&I classes as required, following the Savior’s way.
• Maintain a Christ‑like culture of unity, improvement, and accountability.
• Supervise full‑time, part‑time, and volunteer staff, and collaborate with HR on hiring and promotion decisions.
• Participate in regional training opportunities and manage program operations, reporting, and resources.
• Travel as needed and perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• Current and valid Temple Recommend holder who exemplifies Church teachings on marriage and family life.
• Strong personal testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Extensive experience in learning, teaching, training, communication, and resource management.
• Proven ability to lead, develop others, and foster a collaborative environment.
