Projects Manager – Telecommunications Infrastructure

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking a Projects Manager to lead the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure projects across Malawi. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring that towers are built, acquired, and operated on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, and close telecom tower projects from inception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Track progress against milestones, manage risks and issues, and apply mitigation strategies.
• Control project expenditures, ensure compliance with approved budgets, and drive cost efficiencies.
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including compliance with engineering drawings, testing, and commissioning requirements.
• Provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders and facilitate project meetings.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, government authorities, landlords, and local communities.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, risk management, and project governance capabilities.
• Experience delivering projects in accordance with established project management standards and processes.
