About the role
The Food & Beverage Manager will lead all food and beverage operations at the Protea Hotel by Marriott in Lilongwe. This includes overseeing culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room‑service areas, ensuring guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and achievement of financial targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor budgets for all F&B departments, maintaining cost control and profitability.
- Lead and supervise the F&B team, handling day‑to‑day operations and stepping in to perform duties when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food and beverage laws and regulations.
- Drive exceptional customer service, promptly addressing guest concerns and upholding brand standards.
- Create and execute business plans to grow revenue and improve service quality.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least four years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or related fields, OR a two‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related discipline with at least two years of relevant experience.
