Enumerator – Climate Displacement Baseline Assessment

About the role

The project seeks qualified Enumerators to support a baseline sub‑area assessment on climate‑induced displacement in Blantyre, Malawi. As a consultant, you will work on‑site collecting vital data that will inform preparedness, anticipatory action, and policy decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct household and community surveys in designated districts.
• Gather information on population distribution, displacement dynamics, climate hazard exposure, livelihoods, water access, and coping mechanisms.
• Record early warning and preparedness capacities of communities.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and timely submission to the project team.
• Collaborate with local partners and adhere to ethical standards for data collection.

Required profile

• Consultant or contract‑based engagement.
• Experience in field data collection, preferably in humanitarian or climate‑related contexts.
• Ability to work in Blantyre and travel to surrounding assessment sites.
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
