District Triple Elimination Officer (Karonga)

About the role

The District Triple Elimination Officer will lead the implementation, coordination and monitoring of triple elimination interventions for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B at district and facility levels in Karonga. Reporting to the Triple Elimination Technical Lead, the role works closely with the District Health Management Team, health facilities and community structures to integrate these interventions into existing health services.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and coordination of ACHIEVE project activities aimed at accelerating the triple elimination of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B at district, facility, and community levels.
• Collaborate with District Health Management Teams, health facilities and community structures to ensure effective delivery of triple elimination interventions.
• Integrate triple elimination activities within existing MNCH, nutrition, PMTCT and related health services.
• Provide routine technical support and supportive supervision to health facilities and community health workers together with Ministry of Health teams.
• Lead capacity‑strengthening activities including training, mentoring, coaching and on‑site technical assistance for health workers and community cadres.
• Monitor availability and proper utilization of commodities, supplies, job aids and reporting tools, escalating gaps to the Technical Lead.
• Support commodity tracking, forecasting, stock monitoring and supply‑chain management for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, PrEP, self‑test kits and laboratory supplies.
• Coordinate closely with district pharmacy, laboratory and supply‑chain functions to address any identified gaps.
