Country Manager & Lodge General Manager (Couple Role)

About the role

Our client, a leading multi‑property luxury safari and lodge operator in Malawi, is seeking a dynamic management couple to lead its operations. One partner will serve as Country Manager, overseeing the overall business across the country, while the other will act as Lodge General Manager, responsible for day‑to‑day lodge operations. The appointment is made as a single recruitment to ensure seamless collaboration between the two roles.

Key responsibilities

• Country Manager: develop and execute country‑wide strategy, manage relationships with local authorities, drive growth of the property portfolio, and ensure financial performance.
• Lodge General Manager: oversee lodge operations, guest experience, staff management, budgeting, and compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Both partners: work closely together to anticipate challenges, maintain operational continuity, and foster a high‑performing team culture.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in hospitality, tourism or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in complex environments and solve problems proactively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead diverse teams and build stakeholder relationships.
