About the role
The Graduate Institute at the School for International Training (SIT) is building a pool of part‑time adjunct instructors to teach on‑site in its global learning locations. This ongoing opportunity is based in Lilongwe, Malawi, and supports a range of master’s and doctoral courses focused on sustainable development, natural resource management, and gender, agriculture, and climate change.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with course objectives, learning outcomes, and student audience.
- Create an inclusive, experiential learning environment that promotes student success.
- Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on schedule, and enforce academic and conduct policies.
Required profile
- Doctoral degree in a field relevant to the course topics.
- Professional experience related to the subject matter; graduate teaching experience is desirable.
- Background in inclusive teaching, global education, and experiential learning.
Required skills
- Experience with the Canvas learning management system (preferred).
