Usage & Retention Executive – Roaming & Interconnect

About the role

We are looking for a Usage & Retention Executive to lead roaming and interconnect initiatives, develop telecom products and drive market adoption for Airtel Malawi. The role combines product development, commercial management and market intelligence to enhance customer experience and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute roaming and interconnect strategies, negotiate agreements and onboard new partners.
• Design and manage prepaid and postpaid roaming and international calling products, pricing models, bundles and promotions.
• Lead go‑to‑market campaigns, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and monitor customer feedback.
• Track competitor activity, market trends and provide insights for new product opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Economics or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of telecom products, pricing, billing systems and market dynamics.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
