Senior Manager – Health (Africa)

About the role

The Senior Manager – Health will lead TBI's health portfolio across Africa, working directly with senior political leaders and country teams. You will shape policy advice, design programmes and support fundraising while travelling internationally to engage with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert, evidence‑based health policy advice to senior political leaders across African countries.
• Collaborate with global TBI experts, fundraising teams and country project teams to develop and align health solutions.
• Design and deliver innovative, practical interventions that strengthen health system capacity and improve public care.
• Lead client‑facing engagements, contribute to programme design, key deliverables and fundraising activities.
• Represent TBI with senior stakeholders such as heads of state, ministers and senior officials.
• Travel internationally (approximately 30%) to support on‑the‑ground work and stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Extensive experience and strong networks in the African health sector.
• Proven ability to work with senior political leaders and influence health reform agendas.
• Demonstrated expertise in health policy, system strengthening and strategic advisory.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for high‑level audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in diverse cultural contexts.
