Regional Security Officer

About the role

The Regional Security Officer will lead security governance and safety initiatives across the region, ensuring full compliance with group procedures and fostering strong relationships with internal teams and external partners such as the Malawi Police Service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive compliance with mandatory security procedures in partnership with senior management.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections, document findings and oversee corrective actions.
• Enforce operational discipline on vehicle management, fuel efficiency and CIT operating limits.
• Lead internal investigations into cash losses, procedural breaches and road traffic accidents, delivering executive reports.
• Audit regional operations to identify fuel and fleet efficiency improvements.
• Maintain professional liaison with manned security departments and law enforcement.
• Provide training, counseling and mentorship to raise branch security standards.
• Act as the Regional Health & Safety Representative, coordinating safety initiatives and compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Management, Customer Services, Security or Risk Management.
• Valid motorbike and/or vehicle driver’s licence for field mobility.
• Proven ability to manage complex internal and external relationships.
• Firm yet fair approach to staff management and disciplinary matters.
• Vision for security innovation and proactive risk mitigation.
• Excellent persuasive and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
