Project Director – Every Child Belongs Project

About the role

The Project Director will lead World Vision’s flagship disability inclusion initiative, Every Child Belongs, in Malawi. Reporting to senior leadership, you will provide strategic, technical, operational and financial direction to improve the well‑being and inclusion of children with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic leadership for the five‑year program and long‑term scale‑up vision.
• Ensure alignment with World Vision’s global priorities in disability inclusion, child protection, health, education, faith, and systems strengthening.
• Oversee program implementation, quality assurance, partnership management, fundraising, learning and scaling activities.
• Lead monitoring visits, coordinate national reflection meetings and drive evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Supervise the Program Manager, Technical Advisors, M&E team and Systems Strengthening team.
• Collaborate with resource mobilisation, communications and global technical support staff.
• Foster a high‑performing, accountable, learning‑oriented multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in disability inclusion, humanitarian or development programmes.
• Strong background in program management, monitoring & evaluation, and systems strengthening.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in fundraising, partnership development and scaling interventions.
• Commitment to child‑first, dignity‑centered approaches and safeguarding standards.
