Owner – Strategic IT Services Leader

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Owner role in Lilongwe provides overall strategic direction for an IT services business. The role combines leadership, business development and operational oversight across all solution areas.

Key responsibilities

• Define business goals and oversee execution of IT services (software development, data centre, enterprise solutions, business analytics).
• Manage key client relationships and identify new market opportunities.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and to quality standards.
• Supervise financial performance, budgets and investment decisions.
• Guide business development, partnerships and vendor relationships.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing, cross‑functional team.
• Maintain a strong organisational culture and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Represent the company with stakeholders and industry networks.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in IT services, technology consulting or related fields.
• Strong background in at least one core solution area (software development, data centre services, enterprise solutions, business analytics).
• Demonstrated business development and client relationship management in the Malawi or regional market.
• Solid financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Experience building, leading and mentoring cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science or related field; MBA or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with Malawi regulatory requirements, fiscalisation frameworks and ERP/healthcare solutions is beneficial.
• Willingness to be based in Lilongwe and engage on‑site with clients and partners.
