Laboratory Technicians

About the role

We are seeking Laboratory Technicians to operate laboratory instruments with high efficiency and accuracy. The role involves performing quality checks, maintaining the physical condition of the laboratory section, and ensuring that sample weighing, digestion and routine analyses are carried out according to established procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments to maintain optimal performance.
• Conduct quality checks on equipment and the laboratory environment.
• Perform weighing, digestion and routine analysis of samples following standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of analyses and instrument maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and laboratory standards.

Required profile

• Certificate or degree in Analytical Chemistry or an equivalent field.
• Previous experience in sample preparation and/or fire assay is preferred.
• Medically fit to work in a laboratory environment.
• Proficient in English with good communication skills.
