Fleet and Facilities Administrator (Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are looking for two Fleet and Facilities Administrators to join Mthunzi Funeral Services in Blantyre and Lilongwe on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role combines the management of the company’s vehicle fleet with the oversight of its facilities and equipment, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate maintenance, servicing and repairs for hearses and other leased vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle readiness, fuel usage, insurance, licensing and compliance documentation.
• Investigate accidents, manage insurance claims and enforce driver adherence to fleet policies.
• Track fleet costs, prepare reports and optimise vehicle utilisation.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operation of cold rooms, chapels and other facilities.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Manage vendors and contractors for cleaning, security, repairs and other services.
• Ensure hygiene, safety and regulatory standards across all facilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Strong organisational and reporting skills, with the ability to work under a reporting line to the Financial Accountant and Operations.
• Attention to detail and ability to enforce compliance with road safety and health regulations.
