Driver – Logistics Support for NGO in Malawi

About the role

The NGO is seeking reliable drivers to support its education programmes across Malawi. You will transport team members, partners and equipment safely while complying with traffic regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with programme teams to plan vehicle movements and optimise route efficiency.
• Work with the Fleet Officer to schedule vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with the organisation’s travel and fleet policies.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops and trainings, including coordination of supplies.
• Manage stock items and inventory at field offices.
• Report any vehicle incidents or accidents to management immediately.
• Stay updated on local traffic laws and routes to guarantee timely deliveries.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (GCE) certification.
• Valid driver’s licence with at least three years of driving experience.
• Malawian nationality.
• Willingness to travel throughout Malawi.
• Experience working in multicultural or international‑development environments.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
• Certification in transport and logistics (preferred).
