About the role

Our client, an international non‑governmental organization operating in Malawi, is looking for reliable Drivers to support its operations. The role involves transporting team members, partners and equipment safely while complying with traffic regulations and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with programme teams to plan vehicle movements and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Work with the Fleet Officer to schedule vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with travel and fleet policies and adhere to established procedures.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops and trainings, including coordination of supplies and inventory.
• Serve as the primary contact for managing stock items and inventory at field offices.
• Report vehicle incidents or accidents to management immediately and stay updated on local traffic laws.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (GCE) certification.
• Valid driver’s licence with at least three years of driving experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Malawi.
• Experience working in multicultural and cross‑country teams, preferably in the international development sector.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities and a team‑oriented mindset.
• All qualifications must be verified with certified copies of originals.
• Open only to Malawian nationals.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
