District Triple Elimination Officer

About the role

The District Triple Elimination Officer will be based in Karonga and will support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of triple elimination interventions for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B at district and facility levels. Reporting to the Triple Elimination Technical Lead, the officer will work closely with district health teams, health facilities and community structures to ensure effective delivery of the ACHIEVE project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and coordination of ACHIEVE project activities aimed at accelerating triple elimination of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B.
• Collaborate with District Health Management Teams, health facilities and community structures to integrate triple elimination interventions into existing MNCH, nutrition and PMTCT services.
• Provide routine technical support, supervision and capacity‑strengthening activities such as training, mentoring and on‑site assistance for health workers and community cadres.
• Monitor availability and proper use of commodities, job aids and reporting tools, escalating gaps to the Technical Lead.
• Assist with commodity tracking, forecasting, stock monitoring and supply‑chain management for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, PrEP, self‑test kits and related laboratory supplies.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing health programmes at district or facility level.
• Knowledge of HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B prevention and treatment strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Ministry of Health teams, district pharmacy and laboratory staff.
• Strong supervisory, training and mentoring skills.
