Country Director – Malawi

About the role

The Country Director – Malawi will be Splash International’s senior representative in Malawi, leading the implementation of Project WISE II and driving strategic alignment with national priorities and Splash’s global vision.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for Splash Malawi.
• Align program design and implementation with Malawi’s national priorities and Splash’s global strategy.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
• Ensure timelines, quality standards, and impact targets are consistently met.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Government of Malawi, ministries, and agencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and local stakeholders.
• Oversee a growing country team, fostering high‑quality implementation and accountability.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in international development or a related sector.
• Demonstrated experience managing government, donor, and partner relationships.
• Strong track record of overseeing large‑scale program budgets and reporting.
• Ability to align program activities with both national priorities and organizational strategy.
