Sales Executive – Polymers (South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique)

About the role

The company is a leading chemical distributor in Africa and the Middle East, seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to grow its polymer portfolio across South Africa, Malawi and Mozambique. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive adoption of metallocene‑based PP and PE products.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve volume, revenue and margin targets in the assigned territories.
• Identify and develop new customers, distributors and market opportunities.
• Lead negotiations, prepare proposals and close deals.
• Provide technical guidance on PP, PE and PVC applications, focusing on metallocene technology.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and deliver regular market reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Champion market development of ExxonMobil metallocene products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of technical sales or business development experience in the polymer industry.
• Proven track record with PP, PE and PVC product portfolios.
• Experience in trading or distribution of polymers.
• Familiarity with African markets is an asset.
