Project Officer – Child Protection & Early Childhood Development

About the role

CRS is seeking a Project Officer to support a multi‑county child development, care, and protection project. The role will work closely with government counterparts, local partners, community structures, and faith‑based networks to strengthen systems that protect vulnerable children and improve early childhood outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support implementation of project activities in assigned districts according to the workplan and donor requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify challenges, and report gaps to inform plan adjustments.
• Assist partners with data collection, analysis, and reporting for project evaluation.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities and provide technical assistance to partner organizations.
• Prepare regular project documentation, case studies, and reports on promising practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project support, preferably in child protection or NGOs.
• Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data.
• Fluency in English and Chichewa.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Windows.
• Strong command of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
