Management Programme Internship – Africa Region

About the role

The Danish Red Cross Country Office in Malawi is offering a short‑term internship focused on programme management within its Community Resilience Programme. You will gain hands‑on experience in humanitarian operations, donor relations, and communication while supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow the Country Manager and programme staff to understand day‑to‑day humanitarian project management.
• Assist with proposal and report drafting, data collection, and data processing.
• Support the creation of infographics, social‑media posts, and other communication materials.
• Take minutes during internal and external meetings and follow up on action items.
• Help organise field visits, workshops, and visits for foreign delegations.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Danish university program.
• Interest in humanitarian work and international development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
