Finance Manager – Reporting

About the role

Old Mutual (Malawi) Ltd is looking for a highly experienced Finance Manager – Reporting to provide strategic financial leadership across the Group. Reporting to the Group Chief Finance Officer, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Group financial reporting and consolidation, delivering accurate monthly, quarterly and annual results.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Group accounting policies and all regulatory reporting requirements.
• Maintain robust financial controls, identify weaknesses and drive remediation.
• Coordinate preparation of management reports for the GCFO, Executive Committee and Board.
• Drive the Group’s annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Analyse performance against budgets and strategic targets, providing actionable insights.
• Assess financial implications of strategic initiatives, major investments and business plans.

Required profile

• Significant experience in financial reporting, consolidation and control within a large organization.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
