Conditional Salaried Financial Advisor

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Conditional Salaried Financial Advisor to acquire, advise and service clients across allocated markets. The role involves identifying customers’ financial needs, delivering appropriate insurance and investment solutions, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑point customer service, handling inquiries, receiving visitors and recording accurate CRM data.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify requirements and propose suitable products.
• Prospect and develop relationships with potential customers through telephone calls and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records, follow up on promised actions and document each sales call.
• Ensure operational compliance with internal policies and external regulatory codes.
• Support business development by gathering referrals, entering data into spreadsheets and tracking sales opportunities.
• Participate in networking events to expand the company’s influence and referral base.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Administration (BAdmin) in Sales or Banking Services.
• Strong customer‑focused mindset with ability to evaluate information and identify sales opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to build networks, communicate effectively and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Proven track record in consultative selling and meeting performance targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for data management.
• Experience using sales software and spreadsheet tools for data entry and analysis.
• Ability to manage sales data and generate performance reports.
