Supply & Procurement Officer (Level NO-2) – Lilongwe, Malawi

About the role

The Supply & Procurement Officer (NO-2) will reinforce UNICEF Malawi’s procurement and supply‑chain functions, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that support programme outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities

• Support supply planning, sourcing strategies, long‑term arrangements and offshore procurement.
• Provide technical guidance to government counterparts and implementing partners.
• Monitor procurement pipelines, supplier performance and contract compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management and anti‑fraud measures.
• Assist emergency preparedness and rapid procurement response.
• Coach and supervise team members to achieve performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Law, International Development, Public Health, Social Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in supply management, procurement, vendor assessment, risk management, performance monitoring, stakeholder coordination, capacity building, technical support, or government engagement.
