Project Coordinator – UN Contract

About the role

The Project Coordinator will act as the primary operational link between the client and UN security representatives, ensuring all deployments meet UNDSS standards and diplomatic protocols. This role requires meticulous contract management, risk assessment, and rapid incident response for high‑profile diplomatic missions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as diplomatic liaison, coordinating with UN security to exceed UNDSS standards.
• Maintain zero unmanned posts and 100% accuracy in posting sheets, aligning with client SOPs and national labor laws.
• Conduct quarterly site assessments and vet all new client sites before work begins.
• Respond to incidents within one hour and deliver root‑cause investigations within 24 hours for major events.
• Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports with full data integrity.
• Lead a team to keep staff turnover below 2% and provide monthly professional coaching.
• Ensure a zero Lost Time Injury record and complete all mandatory health & safety audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Security Management, International Relations or related field.
• Minimum five years in a senior supervisory role within the private security sector, preferably managing security for diplomatic missions, UN agencies or NGOs.
• Proven ability to pass stringent international background checks and clearances.
• High cultural awareness, tact, and proactive client service orientation.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of UNDSS frameworks and diplomatic security protocols.
• Knowledge of Malawian labor laws and national safety legislation.
• Digital literacy with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
