Team Leader – Energy Access Programme

About the role

The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change is seeking a seasoned Team Leader to steer a large‑scale Energy Access Programme. You will provide strategic direction, coordinate multi‑stakeholder efforts, and ensure the programme delivers on its development objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all programme workstreams and drive implementation of priorities.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders from government, development partners, the private sector, and implementing agencies.
• Establish governance, reporting, and performance‑management frameworks.
• Lead programme planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation.
• Promote institutional strengthening and sustainable delivery practices.
• Prepare strategic updates and recommendations for senior decision‑makers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in programme leadership, infrastructure, energy, public‑sector delivery or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• Experience working with government institutions, development partners and senior decision‑makers.
• Master’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, Project Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
