Special Project Coordinator

About the role

The Special Project Coordinator will be embedded within the Nyika-Vwaza Co-Management Trust to oversee the day‑to‑day implementation of the Connecting Livelihoods and Landscapes (CoLiLa) programme. The role ensures that all activities are delivered in line with the Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreement, and EU requirements while supporting the Trust’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight and coordination of CoLiLa activities carried out by the Park Management Unit.
• Ensure implementation aligns with the approved Description of Action, timelines, budgets, and performance indicators.
• Support the resolution of implementation bottlenecks without taking direct operational responsibility.
• Act as the primary Peace Parks Foundation focal point for CoLiLa within the Trust.
• Coordinate the preparation of annual work plans, budgets, and alignment with strategic goals.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience in project coordination, preferably in conservation or community development.
• Strong understanding of grant management, EU funding requirements, and consortium agreements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and address implementation challenges.
