Senior Building Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

The Senior Building Surveyor will lead multiple construction projects, providing expert advice on building assessments, structural issues and maintenance solutions. You will work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects meet safety, regulatory and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed building surveys and produce technical reports.
• Deliver solutions for structural, maintenance and compliance issues.
• Lead project teams, coordinate with contractors and clients, and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Provide guidance on building legislation, sustainability practices and contract administration (JCT, NEC).

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying with professional status (MRICS, MCIOB, CIOBE) or close to achieving.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a building surveyor on projects from feasibility to completion.
• Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act, CDM Regulations 2015, JCT contracts and NEC administration.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership abilities.
