Project Manager

About the role

World Vision Malawi is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes that improve the lives of vulnerable children. You will provide overall leadership, ensure high‑quality reporting, and represent the organisation in strategic external meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor project interventions in line with donor and World Vision standards.
• Prepare and submit timely, quality reports to senior management and support offices.
• Develop operational plans and oversee logistics and administration for the project.
• Build capacity of partners and project staff in programme delivery and financial management.
• Network with NGOs, government officials, churches and community leaders to strengthen partnerships.
• Lead budgeting, track expenditures, and ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
• Manage the project team, set performance goals, handle recruitment, grievances and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with World Vision policies, risk management and security protocols.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Comparative Education, Business Administration, Development or a related field.
• Proven experience in programme planning, monitoring & evaluation, and financial accountability.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and networking skills with donors, partners and community stakeholders.
