Project Field Facilitator – Community Education Support

About the role

The Project Field Facilitator will support learning and coordinate community‑level activities that link schools and communities with educational opportunities. Based at the Balaka District Education Office, the role covers five education zones to ensure effective programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of community and school activities.
• Mobilise and engage community members in programme initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to beneficiaries.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and outcomes.
• Facilitate community and school meetings, including focus groups.
• Assist in organising training sessions and workshops.
• Identify and address challenges to programme delivery.
• Promote child protection and education awareness.
• Maintain communication with the project team and support data collection and reporting.
• Ensure meaningful participation of children and youth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Education, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong facilitation, communication and community‑engagement abilities.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and high integrity.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in diverse community settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
