Project Assistant – Bundle Up! Nutrition Initiative

About the role

Save the Children is seeking a motivated Project Assistant to support the “Bundle Up! Nutrition for Small and Sick Newborns in Malawi” initiative based in Lilongwe. You will work closely with the Innovation Specialist and Innovations Manager to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations of this nutrition‑focused project.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with sprint planning, stakeholder engagement, and event coordination.
• Provide procurement support and help prepare project reports.
• Document project innovations, monitor progress, and contribute to learning outputs.
• Coordinate with partners, government officials, and community participants to ensure timely delivery of activities.
• Adapt working hours and duties in response to major humanitarian emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Development Studies or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in programme support, administration, or project coordination.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values and safeguarding standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and other digital tools.
