Principal Researcher

About the role

The Principal Researcher is a senior, full‑time position responsible for leading complex research initiatives that shape strategic planning, digital transformation, operational excellence and innovation programmes for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design research frameworks and define quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Oversee end‑to‑end execution of surveys, interviews and data‑collection activities across multiple industries.
• Synthesize large data sets into clear insights and evidence‑based recommendations.
• Collaborate with consulting teams to translate findings into client strategies and solution roadmaps.
• Manage research projects, mentor junior researchers and ensure data integrity.
• Present findings to internal stakeholders and clients in an actionable format.
• Contribute to thought leadership and develop proprietary tools and models.
• Refine best‑practice research processes within the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in research design, survey creation and data‑collection techniques.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data sets using statistical methods and to produce practical insights.
• Experience leading research projects in management consulting or related business‑services environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Advanced degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with digital transformation, operational improvement or innovation initiatives.
