Internal Control Officer

About the role

The Internal Control Officer will support Old Mutual's internal control environment, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Internal Controls Specialist, the role focuses on safeguarding revenue and improving operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct revenue assurance reviews to identify and prevent revenue leakages.
• Review and evaluate internal controls, systems and operational processes.
• Perform monitoring and cost‑control reviews to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, internal policies and procedures.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on completed assignments.
• Carry out any other duties assigned from time to time.

Required skills

• Proficiency with compliance software.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Ability to compile and analyse data.
