HIV and TB Clinical Officer

About the role

The HIV and TB Clinical Officer provides high‑quality, patient‑centered clinical and programmatic support for HIV and TB services across PIH/APZU‑supported facilities and surrounding communities in Neno District. Working closely with Ministry of Health teams, the officer ensures case finding, linkage to care, treatment, retention, and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the annual HIV and TB program work plan and support its implementation.
• Deliver integrated clinical care, conduct assessments, ward rounds, and home‑based follow‑up for HIV and TB patients.
• Collaborate with MOH to maintain supplies, monitor stock, and ensure functional referral systems.
• Identify training gaps, provide mentorship, and facilitate on‑site CPD sessions for clinicians and nurses.
• Maintain accurate documentation using ART and TB registers and the EMR, and prepare timely reports.

Required profile

• Medical qualification with experience in HIV and TB clinical care.
• Ability to work in community settings and conduct home‑based assessments.
• Strong collaboration skills with government and partner teams.

Required skills

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) usage for patient documentation.
