Executive Associate to UNICEF Malawi Representative (G-6)

About the role

The Executive Associate supports the UNICEF Malawi Representative by ensuring smooth office operations, managing stakeholder relations, and providing high‑level administrative assistance. This role is pivotal in translating leadership priorities into coordinated actions and maintaining the office’s visibility and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the Representative’s agenda, meetings, and travel logistics.
• Handle sensitive correspondence and represent the office in internal and external communications.
• Support budget monitoring, procurement processes, and compliance with UNICEF financial guidelines.
• Plan, track, and coordinate resources for projects and initiatives.
• Leverage UNICEF digital systems and AI‑powered tools to streamline workflows and generate insights.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement records and facilitate effective collaboration across units.

Required profile

• Secondary education in business administration, public administration, finance, communications, information systems or related fields.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in administration, executive support, office management or operations.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment and handle confidential information.
• Strong organizational and project‑management capabilities.
