District Project Officer – Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program

About the role

The District Project Officer will work closely with the District Health Office to lead the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) for children aged 6‑23 months. The role ensures technical quality, supports community mobilisation and strengthens government nutrition structures in the assigned district.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee TSFP activities across health facilities, ensuring adherence to medical and nutritional protocols.
• Maintain district dashboards and databases, visualising data with tools such as Power BI, Tableau or DHIS2.
• Facilitate digital data collection systems, mobile apps and online forms for real‑time monitoring.
• Prepare and submit regular reports, case studies and movement plans to partners and donors.
• Support capacity‑building for district staff, organise trainings and follow‑up on defaulters.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition or related field.
• At least 6 months experience in TSFP or similar nutrition programmes.
• Strong relationship‑management and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % within the district.
