Data Analyst – Clinical & Research Data Management

About the role

The Data Analyst will support the Integrated Chronic Care Clinic (IC3) decentralisation project by overseeing all clinical and research data collection activities across Neno District. Working closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Informatics team, the analyst ensures high‑quality data for quality assurance and impact evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data collection systems for patient screenings, clinical assessments and protocol fidelity using digital, electronic and paper‑based tools.
• Oversee data entry and validation in CommCare, DHIS2, electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Excel.
• Conduct regular data quality reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Train and supervise data clerks and psychosocial counsellors on data collection procedures.
• Travel throughout Neno District to monitor field data collection and support the IC3 team.

Required profile

• Degree in statistics, epidemiology, health informatics, public health or a related field.
• Experience with health data collection, monitoring and evaluation in low‑resource settings.
• Ability to travel regularly within the district and work onsite.
