Business Development Officer

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the achievement of Old Mutual's growth and revenue objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and secure new business for Old Mutual, acting on leads and taking initiative.
• Maintain and grow the portfolio entrusted to you.
• Liaise with the Malawi Revenue Authority on contractual documents and legal issues related to the pension business.
• Communicate and counsel individual members of pension funds on retirement, withdrawals and beneficiary matters.
• Produce and report on work volumes and status.
• Prepare contractual documents, implement rate reviews and improve internal processes to deliver best client service.
• Coordinate with the Human Resources department on labour law issues affecting pension scheme administration.

Required profile

• University degree in Marketing, Accounting or Administration.
• Member of ACII with actuarial knowledge.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in employee benefits administration.
