Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant (Remote, 2 months)

About the role

UNICEF Malawi is seeking a short‑term Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant to support its Partnerships Unit. The 2‑month remote assignment will focus on donor scoping, funding trend analysis, and the development of a Resource Mobilisation Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scoping and analysis of donor priorities, funding trends and partnership opportunities aligned with UNICEF’s strategic goals.
• Map and assess potential funding opportunities, donor interests and emerging financing mechanisms.
• Develop foundational inputs and recommendations for a Resource Mobilisation Strategy.
• Support proposal development and creation of partnership positioning materials.
• Provide technical assistance in drafting, reviewing, editing and quality‑assuring donor reports, proposals and briefs.
• Ensure all donor documentation meets quality standards, donor requirements and organisational guidelines.
• Offer interim reporting support and coordination in the absence of the Reporting Officer.
• Prepare summary briefs, analytical notes and recommendations to aid strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in resource mobilisation, donor analysis and funding strategy development.
• Strong writing, editing and quality‑assurance skills for donor‑facing documents.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outputs within tight timelines.
• Experience with international development or humanitarian contexts is preferred.
• Open to non‑Malawian nationals and able to work remotely.
