Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant (2‑month remote assignment)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Resource Mobilisation Specialist Consultant to provide dedicated support to the Malawi Partnerships Unit for a two‑month remote assignment. The consultant will work on strategic donor analysis, funding trend mapping, and the development of a Resource Mobilisation Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scoping and analysis of donor priorities, funding trends and partnership opportunities aligned with UNICEF’s strategic goals.
• Map and assess potential funding opportunities, donor interests and emerging financing mechanisms.
• Develop inputs and recommendations for a Resource Mobilisation Strategy.
• Support proposal development, partnership positioning materials and donor reporting.
• Draft, review, edit and quality‑assure donor reports, proposals, briefs and related documents.
• Provide interim reporting support and coordinate in the absence of the Reporting Officer.
• Prepare summary briefs, analytical notes and recommendations for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (e.g., Master’s) in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in resource mobilisation, donor analysis or fundraising within an international development context.
• Strong understanding of donor landscapes and financing mechanisms.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
