Remote Document Analyst – Identity Verification & Fraud Detection

About the role

The Document Analyst will remotely review and verify a wide range of documents—including IDs, financial statements, legal contracts, and medical forms—to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and regulatory compliance. You will play a key part in safeguarding the organization against fraud and operational risk.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data extracted from diverse documents, confirming fields such as name, date, and document number.
• Detect sophisticated fraud attempts, including photoshopped IDs, counterfeit documents, and deep‑fake verifications.
• Apply forensic techniques to identify anomalies in security features like holograms, watermarks, and micro‑print.
• Handle edge cases involving damaged, non‑standard, or foreign‑jurisdiction documents.
• Collaborate with policy and product teams to refine annotation guidelines and improve machine‑learning models.
• Provide feedback on OCR and data‑extraction performance, contributing to high‑quality training datasets.
• Perform quality checks on junior analysts’ work and ensure inter‑annotator agreement.
• Maintain compliance with KYC, AML, GDPR, and eIDAS regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in document analysis, identity verification, KYC/AML operations, or data extraction within fintech, legal‑tech, or AI‑training environments.
• Deep knowledge of global identity, financial, and legal documents.
• Proven ability to identify advanced document fraud and biometric discrepancies.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as KYC, AML, GDPR, and CCPA.
