Regional Lead

About the role

Wave is looking for a Regional Lead to drive agent network acquisition and user growth in Malawi. Reporting to the Country Launcher, you will supervise Field Officers, coordinate with agent admin teams, and ensure targets are met across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new agents in line with selection criteria.
• Ensure agents sign valid contracts and receive proper training on compliance, KYC and AML/CTF.
• Oversee agent activation, certification, supply delivery and outlet branding.
• Monitor cash and e‑value liquidity at agents in partnership with Liquidity and Quality teams.
• Track agent performance, produce reports, and manage risk through routine visitation.
• Handle agent churn by closing under‑performing agents, recovering equipment and removing branding.
• Lead a team of Field Officers who manage field promoters responsible for recruiting new agents.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing field operations or agent networks.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, KYC and AML/CTF processes.
• Excellent coordination and team‑leadership abilities.
• Analytical mindset to monitor performance and address emerging issues.
