Project Manager – Standard Project (4 positions)

About the role

We are seeking four Project Managers to lead the Standard Project for SOS Children’s Villages Malawi. The role involves overseeing alternative care options and family‑strengthening interventions at community level across Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Blantyre and Ngabu (Chikwawa).

Key responsibilities

• Establish and support Community Case Management Committees (CCC) to drive family‑strengthening activities.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and the formation of family support groups.
• Implement and monitor a range of alternative care options in line with government standards and SOS guidelines.
• Lead the Family Like Care option, overseeing the welfare of SOS parents and children.
• Set up and manage transit shelters, ensuring compliance with UNGACC and child‑care regulations.
• Provide technical and financial management of the project, meeting donor reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in community‑based project management, child protection or social development.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and local partners.
• Strong organizational and reporting skills to meet donor compliance.
